Certification scheme

  • ADR Register holds the certification scheme “ADR Register International Conflictnavigator®”.
  • Reference document: ADR.PD.001 certification scheme

Certification main-scopes

  • Arbitrator
  • Conflictcoach
  • Mediator
  • Negotiator

In addition to main scopes, qualification is possible against several sub-scopes and sub-types (specialisms).

Certification levels

  • Associate level (once-only level for max 5 years)
  • Full level

The certification against the associate level is possible after the successful completion of a scope-relevant training program. Mediators must also complete the knowledge audit (theory exam). The associate level can be upgraded to the full level as soon as all experience requirements are fulfilled. A certification period is five consecutive years. Recertification applies.

Admission audit

Code of conduct, CPD- and operational (work) requirements & instructions

  • The code of conduct and the CPD-, scope-, process, and procedure requirements apply to all certificate holders.

Dispute handling

  • Clients and interested persons/organizations can lodge a complaint against certificate holders.
  • Reference document: GNG.PD.014 rules for dispute handling against or between owners of certificates & inspection reports

Scope relevant professional training

  • Each candidate must pass a completed scope-relevant training program and deliver the evidence document. 
  • ADR Register recognizes training programs. 
  • If you completed a non-recognized training program, your program is audited against the scope- and duration (number of training hours) requirements, or that you hold an equal knowledge-work-experience-level.

Knowledge audit (theory exam)

  • Each candidate mediator must pass a scope-relevant knowledge audit (theory exam) and deliver the evidence document.
  • ADR Register recognizes knowledge audits. 
  • If you completed a non-recognized knowledge audit, you take the audit with ADR Register. With ADR Register, you select an audit option. Audit options are online multiple-choice exam, official exam declaration of an accredited (external) auditor, essay exam, or remote exam by using Zoom, Microsoft teams, Webex, Skype.

Once-only costs

  • Once-only costs for the admission audit ad € 210,-  (*)
  • Including the online multiple-choice exam. Other knowledge audit types are not included and will be additionally charged.  
  • 25% discount if the scope relevant professional training is completed with an ADR Register accredited training provider.

Annual costs

  • Annual registration fee ad € 107,50 (*)
  • In the 1st year of your certification calculated up from the 1st day of the month in which your certification is granted.
  • Cancellation is only possible against the last day of the current calendar year and must be done written (email).

 

(*) = VAT applicable and not included, fee structure applicable for 2024. If you are invoiced in Euro's, we offer to option to pay the equivalent in AUD, GBP, or USD into our local WISE bank account; contact office operations for more information and our bank details.
