ICR.AD.004 CPD requirements V4 February 2024 (ICR Coach Register)

Modified on Thu, 15 Feb at 2:35 PM

GENERAL PROVISIONS

To this document applies:

  • Document GNG.RD.009 General provisions for all documents
  • Document GNG.PD.015 Rules for CPD

The foregoing documents are hereby designated as repeated and incorporated.

Certification period

  • 5 consecutive full calendar years
  • Interrupted years do not count
  • At the associate level, the period may be shortened if the certificate holder sooner meets the conversion requirements and advances recertification.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

CPD must:

  • Be related to the scopes (= scope related) for which the certification was awarded. Example: You are a coach taking a NLP coaching specialization course.
  • be supportive/helpful (= business- & practice supportive) in relation to the scopes for which the certification is granted. Example: You are a coachr and have demonstrably acquired an assignment that requires you to be able to speak a foreign language at a basic level. You are undergoing training for this purpose.

CPD is assessed at recertification, and otherwise as often as necessary at the discretion of Global Network Group.

CPD does not require prior approval. The certificate holder determines in the 1st instance whether CPD qualifies. At recertification, the auditor or peer reviewer reviews the overview and underlying evidence. The certificate holder is responsible for compiling the overview and maintaining the evidence.

CPD points and client assignments can be tracked in the personal dashboard. This is not mandatory. In the dashboard, the underlying evidence cannot be added.

If the auditor or peer reviewer rejects all or part of the CPD summary at recertification (notes a finding), a solution period is established. The solution period is a maximum of 1 calendar year.

Interrupted years do not count toward the CPD calculation.

The certificate holder can request mitigation or (partial) exemption for the CPD obligations based on special and compelling personal circumstances. The request is at the discretion of Global Network Group. The decision on the request cannot be objected to.

Private organizations, such as training providers and professional bodies, may own a subscope. The organizations may apply additional CPD requirements for their subscope(s). The organizations may also apply different time periods for this purpose. Global Network Group audits on behalf of these organizations. If the certificate holder is unable or unwilling to meet these requirements, the subscope will be removed from his/her certification profile. This will not affect his/her regular certification.

CPD sanction

Global Network Group may impose a CPD sanction on a certificate holder, for example based on signals received from the market, a complaint procedure, or an (interim) audit finding. A sanction means that the CPD obligation of the certificate holder is adjusted. The certificate holder is informed about this in writing and can object.

CPD period

  • CPD period = certification period

CPD activities

  • An activity qualifies for CPD if the requirements in document GNG.PD.015 (Rules for CPD) are met.
  • All activities within your certification scopes count.
  • The practitioner's initial PF.021 (professional training program main- and sub scopes) PF.022 (specialization training program) PF.023 (knowledge audit) PF.024 (skills audit) exams and training programs do not qualify for the CPD requirements
  • Other- and follow-on PF.021 PF.022 PF.023 PF.024 exams and training programs of a practitioner qualify for the CPD requirements
  • CPD activities are measured as CPD points
  • 1 CPD point = 1 clock hour

Minimum number of CPD points

  • Associate level = 12 points per each full calendar year of the associate period (requirement PF.063)
  • Full level = 60 points per certification period (requirement PF.071)
  • No partial requirements apply within an associate or full period.

CPD client assignment

  • A client assignment qualifies if the requirements in documents ICR.PD.002 (Code of conduct) and ICR.PD.003 (Scope-process-procedure requirements) are met.
  • All client assignments within your certification scopes count.
  • Initial certification (requirement PF.062) (the 1st certification) does not audit against these documents.
  • At recertification associate level to full level (requirement PF.062), compliance against these documents may be audited. Compliance need not be determined. In case of findings, an advize is issued.
  • At recertification full level (requirements PF.072 and PF.073), auditing against the documents and conformity must be established.
  • Client assignments are measured in number, hours or turnover according to the calculation factor:
    • 1 client assignment = 10 clock hours = €1.000 turnover excluding VAT
    • If located in (South) Africa: 1 client assignment = 10 clock hours = ZAR 10.000 turnover excluding VAT

Minimum number of client assignments

  • Associate level = 15 assignments over the entire associate period (requirement PF.062) in case of 2 or more years of experience. If less than 2 years of experience, 25 or more assignments must be demonstrated.
